For 22 years, the EJCC has been your partner in strengthening Jewish life in the heart of Europe. Together, we have built a community, fostered identity, and promoted tolerance. Now, we stand at the most significant turning point in our history.

We are thrilled to announce that we are currently founding the European House of Jewish Culture. For over two decades, the EJCC has operated without a physical home of its own, relying on rented spaces for every event and programme; now, located in the center of the European Quarter, we are finally creating a permanent home for you. This will be a vibrant hub where all our programmes will thrive: a space for education, a center for dialogue, and a beacon of Jewish pride in the capital of Europe. We are building this foundation right now, and we need you to be a part of it.

Today we say yes. There will be a future for Jews in Europe. This is not just a prediction, it’s a commitment. Because we choose life, hope, and continuity. 
 

We choose to nourish our deep roots and nurture a vibrant Jewish life right here, in the midst of the storm.
History shows us that our greatest strength is revealed precisely when we face challenges.
 

The ATID strategy starts here: embodied in the creation of the European House of Jewish Culture. This House will honour a past of rich contribution to Europe, celebrate a present rooted in harmony and  respect, and build for a future of confidence and creativity.
The future will reflect the choices and actions we take today. And today, we act guided by the courage of those who came before us.

Our shared mission is to gather, to strengthen, and to build. To ensure a future where Jewish communities across Europe are not only secure, but are also flourishing. Celebrating their past, contributing to the present, and preparing for the generations to come.
If we give into despair, we will leave no foundations. But if we act with courage and vision, we lay the solid ground on which others can continue to build.
 

The Baal Shem Tov taught that every soul has been sent into this world with a unique mission that only they can fulfil. 
Our task is to plant our own seed to reveal that singular spark of light, often hidden or lost amidst great darkness, and to illuminate and transform the world around us. 
Together, let us sow the seeds for a better future and a vibrant Jewish life for all of us.

The European Jewish Community Centre, located in the heart of the European Quarter in Brussels, is a focal point for Jewish events, services and resources at the European Union. The EJCC is a people oriented, community-driven organisation dedicated to fostering Jewish life through educational and cultural events. The centre is multi-lingual, serving the needs of government officials, diplomats, journalists and consultants to the EU.

Our mission is to raise awareness of 2000 years of Jewish history in Europe. To promote common values in the European Union and its institutions by creating a dynamic centre for anyone interested in Jewish Culture, nourishing a community in all its diversity. To strengthen Jewish identity, nurturing a meaningful Jewish life with an eye on progress, and consistent with today’s world. To create bridges between communities by bringing together people of different cultures to enable dialogue.
